Bridge the Gap provides continuing education to teachers through webinars and an annual seminar on critical educational areas and gives teachers more tools in their toolboxes. Additionally, we conduct annual workshops for high school students in career counseling and higher education. Our services are designed to deepen the knowledge of the teachers, bring new teaching strategies to their classroom to help students excel academically and bring positive changes in students’ career aspirations and daily lives.
Webinars/Seminar
Webinars and annual seminar aim to expand teachers understanding in specific subject areas and explore new topics of interests by offering tools and techniques to help students develop their creative, collaborative, artistic, and writing skills, as well as out-of-the-box thinking, self-confidence, and leadership.
Workshops
The workshops are designed for high school students to learn about different opportunities and career path toward colleges, universities and vocational school. Students get to learn details about any occupation including what they might do on the job, how much they might earn and how much education or training they might need.
Conferences
DESAMY hosts conferences that open to middle school and high school students to deliver relevant information and insights that will aid youths in their successful development. We address common issues faced by adolescent girls such as self-esteem, peer pressure, menstruation, depression, dating, bullying, friendship, educated mind, and substance. We provide young men positive role model and teach them about puberty, the principles of manhood, self-controlled, respect and leadership.
