ST-NOPHA JEAN-BAPTISTE
Director
Saint-Nopha serves as the Director of Operations for Develop Empower Smart And Mighty Youths, (DESAMY), Inc. He works directly with the chief executive and other members of the leadership team to set the organization’s strategic goals. He then translates these into specific operational objectives. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the programs, ensuring that they run efficiently and that all staff and students in Haiti have what they need to succeed (such as equipment, supplies, and a safe and supportive work environment).
He also coordinates communication and information flow among and between staff in Haiti, board members, and other stakeholders. Saint-Nopha is a native of Terrier-Rouge, Haiti, born into a family of winegrowers. He left Haiti to attend ISA University, Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. After his agricultural engineering study, he started his internships with Santiago Tobacco Institute. From 2009 to 2015, he served as an administrator for the Initiative Sustainable Development of Haiti.
Also, he worked to improve his community with the students of Terrier-Rouge in the three establishments, in a project institute ”School Garden”. He then launched a chicken coop initiative that promoted hands-on learning to increase knowledge, empowered healthy lifestyles, and prepared the next generation for future opportunities. In 2016, he joined the Centre for International Studies and Cooperation as coordinator of a family poultry project. Saint-Nopha is a graduate of ISA University in the Dominican Republic and holds a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering. He lives in Terrier-Rouge, Haiti with his wife. He is an optimist and community leader who puts in the hard work necessary to make his community a better place.
